Guatemala tour overview
Join me on an 8 night / 9 day expedition through the adventure capital of Central America as we climb an active volcano, explore old colonial villages, wade in the waters of Guatemala’s “Lake Como,” and experience beach life on the Pacific.

Expedition itinerary:
Arrive in Antigua, check into Casi Casa, and enjoy a welcome dinner at a local restaurant
Day 1 :
Explore Antigua: take a local cooking class, peruse the old cobblestone streets, prepare final materials for Acatenango Hike
Day 2 :
Acatenango Hike (day 1): Enjoy an overnight bucket-list excursion of hiking the active Acatenango Volcano and watching the adjacent Fuego Volcano erupt in the distance.
(Optional: Embark on an additional hike of summiting Fuego Volcano)
Day 3 :
Acatenango Hike (day 2): Begin the day with an optional sunrise summit of Acatenango Volcano
Descend Acatenango, then shuttle back to Antigua and onwards to Lake Atitlan. Check into Free Cerveza
Day 4 :
Free day in Lake Atitlan. Potential activities include yoga, kayaking, paddle boarding, visiting neighboring villages, or just laying out in the hammock and relaxing after the post-Acantenango exhaustion.
Day 5 :
3-hour midday ATV tour of surrounding lake villages. Additional free time to enjoy the lake.
Day 6 :
Leisurely morning at Free Cerveza. Private shuttle 4 hours to El Paredon, check into Cocori Lodge
Day 7 :
Free day in El Paredon. Surfing, beach volleyball, and hanging by the pool and beach as we enjoy our last final day together. Multi-course sendoff dinner to finish the day
Breakfast at Cocori Lodge and say our goodbyes; head to airport/ onward travel
